dfontifier 2.0.1
Version 2.0.1, May 10, 2004
Copyright © 2004-2024, Mark Douma. All rights reserved.
Product Requirements:
- Mac OS X 10.2.x - 10.4.x
- Updated January 23, 2008: Due to changes Apple made to modernize the file-system APIs in Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and later, the method dfontifier 2.0.1 used in previous versions of OS X to access the resource and data forks of files is no longer supported. As a result, the stand-alone version of dfontifier doesn’t work properly and isn’t supported under Leopard. Instead, you can use the dfontifier feature of Font Finagler.
What’s new in this version:
- Worked around an AppleScript bug affecting the System Events application within OS X v.10.2.8 specifically, where it would fail to set the file type and creator type of converted fonts, resulting in generic-looking documents rather than usable fonts.
- A couple of minor user-interface tweaks.
Product Description:
dfontifier is an application that can convert Mac OS X-style Datafork TrueType fonts (.dfonts) into ordinary Mac OS 9-style TrueType fonts and vice versa.
